We are #MoreThanThreeQuarters!
Shows & Projects
We are starting our Research and Development of our 2024 project. This is a devised piece, working with disabled artists in Kent. To keep up to date, follow us on social media and check out our blogs.
The Waiting Room

Enter the waiting room, a liminal space where life is on pause. Sterile walls, the hum of strip lights, sweaty plastic chairs and stolen glances. We’ve all been here, but where is here? What are we waiting for? With a nod to Waiting for Godot, absurdist humour explores the limbo disabled people occupy. As it unfolds, multiple waiting rooms are layered as each new character enters, waiting for permission to leave as their stories inevitably collide.
This project will set up and R&D new material. Being disabled-led and prioritising disabled audiences, we will boldly explore access, seeking new solutions through consultation and experience.
POW Festival Thanet

One and Three Quarters were invited to share a preview of their work at POW 2020's Mind and Body Day. They prepared a short autobiographical piece of work, exploring the disabled body and experiences. Due to lockdown, this has been put on hold and we are looking forward to working with them again when possible.
Susie and Vicki were included as part of POW festival's Reimagining the Future event to talk about what the future looks like in terms of diversity.

We were honoured to be included in such an important discussion and to be amongst the other outstanding guests. The talk can be viewed on the link below.

Moving Memory Dance Theatre Company

Three of our core members (Susie, Vicki and Ursula) work with Moving Memory as associate artists and performers with their young company Intergen31.
They have worked on a variety of projects in different roles including performance assistants in Beyond the Marigolds and Cracking the Crinoline. performers and facilitators in Love Grows.

Conversations with a Cripple

One and Three Quarters is a diverse-led theatre company made up of all disabled women*. We came together to create powerful performances by and for disabled people by making authentic, autobiographical work.
Kent Univeristy Graduate Theatre Company

In 2019 we were proud to be recognised as one of Kent University's graduate theatre companies. We were awarded both rehearsal and office space to launch the company. This invaluable opportunity provided us with R&D time to explore ideas, and the chance to work as an ensemble. It was here, through a process of devising, that our first piece Conversations With a Cripple emerged.
